Calculator

Purpose and likely users

Calculator by Prometheus Interactive LLC handles everyday arithmetic as well as more advanced maths. It is suited to students who need scientific functions, graphing or fraction calculations alongside a standard calculator, and to anyone who wants those tools in one app rather than switching between separate utilities.

What it offers

Beyond basic operations, the app includes scientific calculations, function graphs and fraction work. It also keeps a history of recent calculations, which can help when checking earlier steps or returning to a problem. These features make it more useful for study than a basic keypad, though they may be unnecessary if all you need is quick addition or division.

How it compares

Compared with a built-in phone calculator, this app reaches further into school and technical maths. Its combination of graphing and scientific functions is the main distinction; dedicated graphing or scientific calculator apps may offer a more focused experience, while simpler calculator apps are likely to feel less crowded for routine use.

Track record

The listing is in the Education category and has a 4.5-star rating from about 82,600 reviews, with more than 10 million installs. That reach suggests it serves a broad mix of learners and general users, but the rating alone does not indicate whether its advanced tools suit a particular course or workflow.
