Short, factual briefings on Android apps, written for people who want to understand an app before they install it.
A store page sells; a briefing informs. APK Intelligence sets out what an app is for, the kind of person it tends to suit, what it asks of the device, and where it sits next to the apps that do the same job, in a few hundred words and no more.
Each briefing starts from the publisher, the permissions and the way the app behaves in use, then notes what stands out against its alternatives. Store ratings are reported, not relied on.
Every page here is prepared as a plain static file before anyone opens it, so the briefing is on screen the moment the page loads, on any connection.
Apps change. If a briefing no longer matches the app, or a useful app has no briefing yet, tell us through the contact form and it goes on the list.
Apps that have been rebuilt around someone else's work, premium features patched open, and anything published under a name that is not its own. Those do not get a briefing; they get left out.
APK Intelligence is kept by a small team that would rather hand you four paragraphs of fact than four stars and a slogan.
Briefings are revised when an app changes enough to matter, and removed when an app stops being maintained, rather than left describing something that no longer exists.
A rating tells you how people felt. A briefing tells you what you are getting.
